Imaging Services at Neshoba General
Our radiology department is located on the ground floor adjacent to the emergency department and is staffed with 24-hour coverage. Working closely with the emergency department, we have an extremely fast response time to emergency situations and critically injured patients with near immediate reports given in trauma situations to aid the attending physician(s).
All Neshoba General technologists are state licensed and nationally certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The mammography department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Our Radiology Services
With state-of-the-art equipment and professional staff, our radiology department provides the imaging services needed to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions.
We offer a broad range of services, including:
- Diagnostic radiology (X-ray)
- Computerized Tomography (CT scan)
- Ultrasound (Sonography/Echocardiography)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- 3-D Tomosynthesis Mammography
- Nuclear Medicine (Including Cardiac Stress)
- Bone Density
Patient Processing Procedures
All patients will register in the admissions department upon arrival. A photo ID is required per HIPAA regulations when checking in for any outpatient exam. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to appointment time to complete any necessary paperwork.
Service Availability
All routine imaging procedures are available on a scheduled basis Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. All routine exams must be called in and scheduled with the radiology department between these same hours of operation. Physician referral forms must be sent via fax or email to admissions prior to the patient's arrival for exam. This must include three components: The exam(s) ordered, the proper diagnosis, and the ordering provider's signature.
Exam Interpretation
Radiology procedures performed at Neshoba General are interpreted by the
staff of Lakeland Radiology Group.
